(PB15:4)is a vibrant, cool blue pigment from the phthalocyanine family.
History: In 1935, it was accidentally discovered by chemists at Scottish Dyes Ltd. while researching phthalocyanine dyes. In the 1940s–50s, it was rapidly adopted by artists as a superior alternative to Prussian Blue (PB27) and ultramarine.
